How can you get involved?
First Steps: Orientation
To volunteer in the prayer room, you must first complete the Austin Disaster Relief Network’s (ADRN) Orientation. This is a 3-hour class to give you an introduction to ADRN, how to get involved, and the impact we are having on our community and/or families we are serving in times of disaster. Following this orientation, you are then encouraged to join HOPE Prayer Room’s Intro to Prayer.
Next Steps: Intro to Prayer
To become a HOPE Prayer Room (HPR) volunteer, it is required that individuals complete Intro to Prayer, a 5 day training course. All 5 courses must be completed in order to volunteer with us. Each session is independent in its teaching and may be completed at your convenience as they are offered. Once all sessions are completed, volunteers are given the opportunity to serve in various areas. There will be a 30 minute devotional set before each training, and classes will begin at 7pm. Registration is required.
