HOPE Prayer Center exists to be a catalytic resource center for the City of Austin, serving its people by equipping, resourcing and empowering the Churches of Greater Austin to mobilize intercessory worship, before, during and after crisis strikes.
HOPE Prayer Center was originally launched on July 9, 2016 under the name HOPE Prayer Room. However, after realizing God’s greater purpose for HOPE was to be more than just a “room” where people pray, but a “center of prayer” for the City of Austin, the name was changed to HOPE Prayer Center, with a two-fold meaning:
